Yoga for Beginners - 4 class series
No one likes to feel like a bull in a china shop so the Beginners Classes are built on the foundations.  The 4 classes are repeated and will focus on learning key poses and transitions for moving around the mat safely for your body.  Over the 4 classes we will develop an awareness of harnessing the breath in a gentle flow, which is put together in week 4.  While the sequence is simple, application of correct muscle groups and using safe alignment practices will bring with it challenges for new yogi's and those who want to build on their awareness in a simple uncomplicated practice. 
Guaranteed to get you hooked on Yoga, if you aren't already!

Mindful Movement
This is a strong, slow class, connecting breathe to movement and stillness. Focusing on strength and connection in each pose.

Multi-Level Yoga Classes
These classes are a real mix of  strong flowing sequences that build strength, balance and flexibility.  Harnessing the breath to enhance the practice is an important aspect of all Yoga.  Challenging poses are introduced with lots of options to modify and develop the foundation skills to master try - and sometimes succeed or let them go as "not for me".  Either way we are always working towards to developing awareness and strength.

 Yin Yoga
 Yin Yoga is just what we need to tune in, breath and relax while   our bodies melt. Yin is different to vinyasa and restorative yoga -   we hold poses for a longer time and hold the structure, allowing joints and ligaments and little tense places to unwind and unravel.

      Yin Yoga
​       Feature Class 

This Feature Class is a​ 2 hour sequence designed to mobilise and free up all areas of the body.   Yin yoga is a practice of stillness, which works deeper into the connective tissues and ligaments for a stretch that goes beyond the muscles that we generally notice in an asana practice.  Its a practice of patience and control as we learn to surrender and let go, harnessing the breath, mind and body connection to do so. Poses are held for up to 10 minutes.

Restorative Yoga
​Feature Class 


Some yoga poses taste a little bit sweeter than others and these are definitely the restorative postures.  These soothing and well-supported poses offer us the opportunity to linger quietly for a few moments and savour the simple sweetness of life.
We start out with a few minutes of gently movement that will stretch and warm the muscles before settling into the restorative practice.  Stillness gives your body a chance to shed its restlessness and busy-ness allowing the mind to create space in the body for relaxation.

YinStorative Yoga
Feature Class

This 90-minute gentle yoga class is a balanced mix of Yin and Restorative Yoga. Our practice begins with breath-work and centering, followed by a slow flow of yin-style deep stretches, held for 2-8 minutes. You will then settle in to some prop-supported restorative postures for deeper physical relaxation and a guided meditation to promote calm and clarity. This class is perfect for every yogi who wants to de-stress and cultivate peace of mind, body and soul. 

Any props that you have at home that might support you - bolsters, pillows, strap, blanket/towel, please bring these along as we are not sharing props at the moment.

Chair Yoga

In chair yoga poses are performed either seated or using the chair for assistance. Anyone can practice it and a series can be built for you around your own special needs.
Those with chronic conditions, weight issues, past injuries or disabilities can increase their range of motion and experience benefits from this practice.
Private classes by appointment or if you are over 55 come along to Temen on Fitzroy, Pauline Martin Drive at 9am Fridays - by Donation!!

Just For Kids Yoga
$100 per term or $16 per casual class

Tracey has taught in primary schools for 18 years and loves working with kids of all ages.
The many benefits of yoga as a practice for kids are unlimited in their potential to change physical, mental and emotional states.
The obvious is an increased body awareness, strength and flexibility, but the other benefits include improved concentration, the cultivation of a peaceful and relaxed state of mind, gives tools for stress management and enhances social interactions and self discipline.

Private classes by appointment

Term Programs begin in week 2 of each term and run  for 8 weeks
Thursday, Juniors - 5-9 yrs 3.30-4.30


School & Kindy Programs
These programs run for the term and are devised for specific age groups:
Yoginis - 3-4 yrs
Yogis - 5-8 yrs
Tweens - 9-12 yrs
Teens 13-17yrs
