Yoga for Beginners
No one likes to feel like a bull in a china shop so the Beginners Classes are built on the foundations. Classes will focus on learning key poses and developing an awareness of harnessing the breath in a gentle flow. It is a simple sequence with challenges for new yogi's and those who want a simple uncomplicated practice.

A series of poses for all ability levels sequenced in a non-stop flow. Time is spent practicing alignment of all new poses to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable in their practice.
Power Yoga is a dynamic flowing sequence that will build strength, balance and flexibility. Harnessing the breath to enhance the practice is an important aspect of Power Yoga.
Yin Yoga is just what we need to tune in, breath and relax while our bodies melt. Yin is different to vinyasa and restorative yoga - we hold poses for a longer time and hold the structure, allowing joints and ligaments and little tense places to unwind and unravel.

Some yoga poses taste a little bit sweeter than others and these are definitely the restorative postures. These soothing and well-supported poses offer us the opportunity to linger quietly for a few moments and savour the simple sweetness of life.
We start out with a few minutes of gently movement that will stretch and warm the muscles before settling into the restorative practice. Stillness gives your body a chance to shed its restlessness and busy-ness allowing the mind to create space in the body for relaxation.

Just For Kids Yoga
Tracey has taught in primary schools for 18 years and loves working with kids of all ages.
The many benefits of yoga as a practice for kids are unlimited in their potential to change physical, mental and emotional states.
The obvious is an increased body awareness, strength and flexibility, but the other benefits include improved concentration, the cultivation of a peaceful and relaxed state of mind, gives tools for stress management and enhances social interactions and self discipline.

Adults Yoga Therapy uses the tools of yoga to achieve specific outcomes according to the needs of the individual or class. Short Yoga Therapy Courses will be run periodically and might include :-

Long Slow Deep
This Long Slow Deep Feature Class is a 2 hour sequence based on the Yin style of Yoga. Yin yoga is a practice of stillness, which works deeper into the connective tissues and ligaments for a stretch that goes beyond the muscles that we generally notice in an asana practice. Its a practice of patience and control as we learn to surrender and let go, harnessing the breath, mind and body connection to do so. Poses are held for up to 10 minutes.
In chair yoga poses are performed either seated or using the chair for assistance. Anyone can practice it and a series can be built for you around your own special needs.
Those with chronic conditions, weight issues, past injuries or disabilities can increase their range of motion and experience benefits from this practice.
