You might have been thinking about trying yoga for a while but haven't because:
- You think /'know' you'll be no good at it or will 'fail'
- You're worried that there will be chanting/incense/weird gongs/hippies/a bunch of things that make you feel uncomfortable - thong, bong and sarong!
- You tried it once and didn't like it
- You think/'know' that you can't relax and definitely CAN'T meditate
- All of the above
All of our teachers are determined to ensure that you are safe and comfortable in your practice. We offer options and modifications for every body, as a beginner or as a more experienced yogi.
Sometimes less is often more.
Yin classes, or Flow & Let Go classes can be a good starting option for anybody.

We know it can be daunting.
Being able to stand on your head is the very last thing that yoga is about.
We understand how intimidating it can be to start anything new and walk into a yoga studio for the first time. We know that it's going to sound like a foreign language sometimes (Sanskrit is, but we don't use it all the time and some of us not at all!) We remember how it felt to be completely lost and in the wrong pose at the wrong time and being overwhelmed by all the instructions!
Breathe and balance on one leg and press into your little toe and relax ~ wtf!?
At Body N Soul Yoga we can be a little bit hippie some of the time, we definitely don't ever care if you're no good at it and we definitely know that yoga ~ including meditation and mindfulness is good for every body.
We try and make all our classes fun and inclusive for every body, we love it when you can just go with it.
On a serious note all of our instructors are there to hold space and facilitate a safe practice: guiding you to develop a practice that is right for your body AND at the end of the class set you up to walk out feeling amazing.
While in the early stages of our yoga journey if we can ignore how awkward and uncoordinated we feel during the class and focus on the best part - the stillness at the end and how we feel afterwards (hopefully happy and relaxed!), you'll really tune in to the benefits of your yoga practice.
