Hi
I'm Tracey. I am an Early Years and Primary Teacher with 20 years teaching experience. I have been a student of yoga for more than 15 years and and sharing the joys of of it for 6. I think yoga is a powerful tool that helps children of all ages to develop healthy bodies, healthy minds and a healthy heart.
Body ‘n Soul Yoga: Courses for Kindy Kids
Courses delivered to Kindy Kids begin simply and through repetition, fun and practice grow into an experience that reflects growth and development of skills. Children develop an increased focus and ability to be attentive to task and at the same time come into a sustained state of relaxation.
Yoga for Kindy Kids is introduced in a playful, educational and fun way. Children thrive in a non-competitive, safe environment and that allows them to feel happy and secure in themselves.
Each class will incorporate breathing exercises, a series of fun warm ups, a series of poses working therapeutically with their growing and developing bodies. We have fun with yoga games and practice relaxation techniques. Classes may also incorporate mindfulness, guided visualisations, partner massage, reading stories, music and creative arts.
Cost: $8.50 per child per class – numbers based on attendance not enrolment.
Please note yoga is not in any way religious and I do not espouse any religious messages during my classes.
I would love to come and work with you and your Kindy Yogi’s and offer a free Taster session at your centre, so you can see what fun it is.
Please contact me with any further questions or concerns you may have.

Kindy Programs: Answers to FAQ’s
Kindy Yoga Programs run during the school terms
Each new centre begins with shorter classes (or for as long as I can hold their attention and behaviour) so classes are lots of experiences to keep the kids engaged as we build a relationship.
Programs that follow might be theme based eg. Dinosaurs, Bugs Alive, Adventures, use familiar books eg. Aliens Love Underpants, Commotion in the Ocean, Rumble in the Jungle. Revisit traditional Stories & Fairy Tales or have an emotional and social development objective eg. Incredible Me, The Monsters Inside
Each class and course follow a sequential plan of development of skills and ability.
I would prefer a member of staff to participate in the sessions at the beginning. The kids love it and it helps me learn the children’s names. It also helps me to discipline and redirect the kids when required.
I’m comfortable working with groups as young as 2 and a half years old, they too enjoy the movement and adventures in yoga. Their session are generally 15-25 minutes
3-5 year old groups will vary in length. At the beginning the session might be 25 min and over time and experience extend to as long as 40-45min.
Maximum group size is 25, primarily to ensure everyone gets to take a turn or have their moment of attention. Another reason why a member of staff in the circle helps.
